Max Wax Live, Vol. 98

Special Guest Host – Nolan Taylor

Tonight on Max Wax Live, we’ll be joined by a singer/songwriter that, if you haven’t discovered yet, you should. Nolan Taylor is quickly turning heads in the Americana/Country/Folk world, with a voice bigger than the sky and songwriting talent comparable to his own influences. See who those influences are when he brings a stack from his own collection to share with us tonight! Originally aired live, 6/16/2021.

Max Wax Live, Vol. 95

Recorded Live w/ Alex Salcido – 05.26.2021

You may know him from The Harmed Brothers, or his solo projects, or even as a writer for The Hard Times magazine… but tonight, Alex Salcido is the Guest-Host of a Special 2-Hour Max Wax Live! We’re spinning records, including something off his brand new release, “I’m a Bird” (check that out on Bandcamp!), drinking a couple of coldies and talking music. Who knows… we may even open up the phone lines for some questions.

Max Wax Live, Vol. 94

HEAVY MUSIC FOR A HEAVY WORLD, PT. 1

Our tag line for years has been “Heavy Music for a Heavy World”. On a brand new Max Wax Live! tonight, I’m diving into some of the heavy music that’s been helping get me through some heavy times. I’ll talk to you all about some of that, as well. It may be cathartic for me… it may be cathartic for you.Ambient, Heavy, Solitude in Music. That’s this show. Join me, friends.

Max Wax Live, Vol. 92

“THIS IS A TEST… THIS IS ONLY A TEST”

This show was originally a test to check the performance capabilities of me doing a live show with digital music, rather than vinyl. The reason I’m exploring this is so I can offer shows with the new stuff I’ve been filling my head with, but don’t yet have to throw on the turntables. What started as a test turned into a full hour show with some awesome tracks in the ambient rock/metal and new rock categories. Check it out!

Max Wax Live, Ep. 91 w/ Lori!

Tonight, I’m having my favorite guest, ever, on a Brand New Max Wax! Yep, my girl, my best friend, my partner to almost every show… Lori!!! We just hit 4 years together, and it occurred to me that this would be a blast. Tune in and listen to us laugh, chat about music and spin you all some of the songs that have been “our” favorites. And it’s LIVE, so this could be really interesting. Originally aired 4.7.2021.

Max Wax Live, Vol. 89

Special Guest Co-Host – Joel Signoretti

It’s a brand new episode of Max Wax, with guest host Joel Signoretti! Joel’s not only a shredder of the guitar, a slinger of the records over in The Vinyl Cut-Live Auction & Sales page, and a killer friend, he also knows his music better than most. He’s picked a playlist from the Trendkill record stash that will take us through two heavy riff-fueled hours, full of tunes and tales of life. Recorded live from the KTFT Studio, 3/3/21.

Live from the Art Mine, Vol. 1 – The Little Blue Hearts

Our first live streaming show from the Trendkill Radio studios in downtown Covington, KY, just across the banks of the Ohio River from downtown Cincinnati, and we’re lucky to feature Walter DeBarr’s amazing and acoustic three-piece, The Little Blue Hearts. This show will make you laugh a little (it is our first attempt at this live feed that went out on FB Live Video and on our airwaves), but it will also move you with the dynamic performance that was hauled from West Virginia just for our listeners. It was an incredible evening… and we can’t wait to have Walter’s full band back to the Art Mine soon! Enjoy…
