Max Wax Live!, Vol. 101

Well hell… I don’t even really feel like doing a show tonight, given the heaviness of the news. But it occurred to me that a lot of fans of, not only Dusty Hill and ZZ Top, but also Joey Jordison of Slipknot and Mike Howe of Metal Church, may be wishing they could drop the needle on some tracks from these artists this evening. So, the show will go on and it will be heavy, it will be as much fun as I can muster… and it will be at least half from ZZ Top, with little talk. Aired live at 9PM EST, July 28, 2021 on Trendkill Radio.

Special Guest Host: Steve Covington

Last night was wild! He may front an Americana, Roots, Folk band, but this evening you’ll find out what my buddy Steve, of Steve Covington and The Humble Strays, grew up cutting his teeth on. My favorite part of having artists on the show is finding out what THEY dig, so I can’t wait to get the turntables spinning and get Steve grinnin’. Recorded LIVE, ON-AIR from 8-10 EST, June 9, 2021.

Max Wax Live, Vol. 95

Recorded Live w/ Alex Salcido – 05.26.2021

You may know him from The Harmed Brothers, or his solo projects, or even as a writer for The Hard Times magazine… but tonight, Alex Salcido is the Guest-Host of a Special 2-Hour Max Wax Live! We’re spinning records, including something off his brand new release, “I’m a Bird” (check that out on Bandcamp!), drinking a couple of coldies and talking music. Who knows… we may even open up the phone lines for some questions.

Max Wax Live, Ep. 91 w/ Lori!

Tonight, I’m having my favorite guest, ever, on a Brand New Max Wax! Yep, my girl, my best friend, my partner to almost every show… Lori!!! We just hit 4 years together, and it occurred to me that this would be a blast. Tune in and listen to us laugh, chat about music and spin you all some of the songs that have been “our” favorites. And it’s LIVE, so this could be really interesting. Originally aired 4.7.2021.
